The Shell LiveWire Young
Entrepreneur of the Year Awards recognise and reward achievements
of young people in business. The annual Awards are recognised as
the key independent competition in the UK for young entrepreneurs
and participation gives businesses a great stamp of credibility.
Shell continues to fund and support LiveWire since founding the
programme in 1982.
Okay, so we didn't win, but we had a great day meeting and mixing
with other young like-minded entrepreneurs and guzzling free Champagne!
The LiveWire judges weren't quite as scary as the Dragons' Den panel,
and it was great to get some good advice and guidance.
We exhibited a range of our best selling greetings cards, and our naughty
'5 a Day' card, which stresses the importance to gay boys of getting
fruity at least five times a day, was an instant hit!
As well as the annual Young Entrepreneur competition, Shell
LiveWire provides information, advice and support to help young
people, between 16 and 30, to start and develop their own business.
